Through Jiu Jitsu/ Martial Arts We Can Make the World a Better Place
We are happy to bring another blog update. These past few months have been extremely challenging for our gym and community. The rising of COVID cases has not slowed and it’s important we continue to follow guidelines to keep our community safe. Thankfully we have been able to stay open and operating during this time. No cases or presumptive cases in relation to our gym at all.
Dillon Duvall, our strength and condition coach and doctor of physical therapy, recently got certified as a functional range conditioning mobility specialist. This course has incredible usefulness for jiu jitsu and the impact it has on health and mobility is huge for us! Please check out the website if you have more questions

Brsyen has been training jiu jitsu for 8 years and has been a purple belt for the last 2 years. He likes that jii jitsu can allow a much smaller person to defeat a much larger opponent. It’s one of the best things about BJJ, we focus so much on strong reliable technique that with proper execution, size becomes a less important attribute. Jiu jitsu is a long journey, Brysen looks forward to helping people on that journey!

This global pandemic has presented a unique set of challenges that we as a community came together and met head-on. We cannot express the depth of our gratitude.
The first week of classes went perfectly. The grappling dummies were very useful for getting us back moving and remembering what jiu-jitsu is like! We will continue to use the dummies until Oregon enters phase 2/3 of reopening.
