Fundamental BJJ
This class is the official adult beginner program of all CTA Academies. This class was designed for beginners with little or no experience. You will learn the techniques, positions, and the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu. This class will help you to learn step by step techniques that are essential to building a solid game in Jiu-Jitsu and reviews Caio Terra’s white to blue belt curriculum. We believe that this class is important for all of our students. We encourage even our advanced students to review and attend these classes as often as possible.

This is a traditional gi class and an hour long.

Advanced BJJ
This class is designed with the experienced practitioner in mind. This program will define the path to black belt and will expand on concepts learned in the fundamentals programs. This class consists of drilling moves and rolling (live training). Although it’s designed for people with more experience, we encourage the beginners to do this class as well as the Fundamentals class. This class will help you improve your competition game with advanced technics.

The use of a gi is mandatory in this class. The only exception is when a No-Gi schedule is determined in advance. This class begins right after our Fundamentals BJJ class, and students will start class with a lite warm up, technique drills, and training to end the class.

This class is at least an hour long and students are NOT obligated to stay the whole class.

Cardio Boxing
Our boxing program allows our students to explore the many health benefits to adding Boxing to their training regimen. Students will begin their first class familiarizing themselves with basic movements. Classes will be a combination of technique training using shadowboxing, footwork training, bag training, and focus mitt training. Advanced movement and combinations will be added as your confidence and familiarity with the movements improve. Sparring is strictly enforced pending instructor approval. All equipment and gear will be assessed by our coaching staff prior to participation.

This program helps students develop skills that can be applied in self-defense and the sporting environment.

Open Mat
Open Mat is the time where students can trade techniques and train without being supervised by an instructor. They are free to come and go whenever they feel like it and very important for the development of students. Students from our Kids BJJ are welcome to attend and expected to train/drill accordingly.
